Newsome, Herbert Wilfred, 88, a loving father and grandfather, of Cooper City, entered into eternal life on Monday, August 3, 2015, with his loving family at his side. He was born on March 18, 1927, in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Herbert Newsome and Lillian Smedley. He proudly served in the US Navy between 1944-1946. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Louise Newsome. Survived by his children, Mary Beth Burroughs, Robert Newsome, Barbara Palmiter & Bernadette Anthony; grandchildren, Kevin, Kolene, Kathleen, Robert, Christopher, Stephanie, Brian, Jason, Jennifer, Rebecca, Danielle, Christine & Sarah; and 17 great-grandchildren. Gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2015, from 6-8 p.m. with a Tributes of a Lifetime Service at 7:00 p.m. at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel. Urn Commmittal Service with Military Honors will be on Friday, August 13, 2015, 10:30 a.m. at South Florida National Cemetery.
