Dr. Jacques P. Morency, 67, of Miramar, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, November 12, 2017. A pediatrician who received his medical degree from Ecole de Medecine de Port-Au-Prince, Haiti and had been in practice for more than 30 years. He is survived by his son Vladimir Morency, daughter-in-law Janette; his daughter Stephanie Morency; his grandchildren Olivia and Amelia; his siblings Marlene Morency, Mimose Obas, Carmelle Vilme, Frantz Morency, Emmanuelle Morency, Michel Morency, Joseph Morency, Patrick Morency, Elsie Lamothe, Dominique Lamothe, Myriam Bastien, Serge Remy and Guy Joachim; and a host of loving relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel on Friday, November 17, 2017, from 7-9 PM. Tribute of a Lifetime Service will begin at 8:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, November 18, 12:00 PM at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Lauderdale Memorial Park Cemetery.

Dr. Morency was my pediatrician for most of my life. He was tough most of the time, and we usually did not see eye to eye. He was a wonderful doctor who did not bite his tongue no matter the circumstance, but nonetheless he loved and cared for all his patients. He will be missed. Love always , and may your soul rest in peace.
