B. Kenneth Burruss, 63, died Saturday, July 31st after a brief illness. As a long-time resident of Miami and Pembroke Pines, he was associated with Calder and Gulf Stream Race Tracks. In addition to his daughter,
Jacqueline; he leaves his mother, Mary May Burruss of Cape Canaveral and his sister JoAnn of Lexington, Kentucky.

My name is janet and i knew kenny because of my mom. I had good laughs and good times with him and he always use to smile even when malik my cousin use to rank jokes on him, like he was 9 months pregnet. We cared alot about him. im going to miss him. rest in peace kenny

I was shocked to find out Kenny had passed away. I had gone to Gulfstream looking for him just last Saturday. I was introduced to Kenny by Skip Austin in 1970 when myself and 3 friends from UT Knoxville lived in Coral Gables for a while. Kenny and I became good friends and went to every dog track horsetrack and jai alai fronton in the Miami area. We stayed in touch over the years and I always tried to look him up when I came to Florida. He had a unique way of looking at the world and could always make me laugh. I will miss talking to him and its hard to lose a friend like him. I tried on several occasions to get him to come to Tennessee but as far as I know he never would leave Florida. I hope if anyone reads this and remembers me that they will give me a call or e-mail me as it would help if I could talk about him with someone that really knew him. Rest in Peace buddy you were one of a kind. Ty
