Aunt Edith was one of my favorite people! She was indeed a very loving aunt. I remember that we lived next to her & Uncle Fred when I was little in Miami. She gave me my first perm when I was 2 since my hair was so thin!
Aunt Edith was my dad’s Curtis big sister so I have lots of wonderful memories with her over the years.
I do feel sad to think that she is gone, and my condolences go out to you both, Darlene and Brett!
I know that she loved the Lord and that is comforting to know that she is in heaven and I’ll see her again some day!

“Ms.Edie”
Can one imagine? God letting Ms. “E” be a part of my journey through life. Wow!
We shared secrets, successes, failures, dreams; words cannot express what she meant to me. Yes! We were even swapping daughters. However, “E”, always the wise one, brought me back to reality. We both knew “All is Well.” While she praised me to learn to walk again, God and I always knew that she could walk on water. We just didn’t have enough time for me, too.
We will go on throughout eternity. I will miss you my friend.
Love,

My Mom was the Best Mom everyone loved her. Her love was unconditional and she was my best friend! She was always there for me and my family and you could always rely on her for help and support. My mother was a true friend, strong, generous, kind, compassionate, caring and a real softy! She was very sweet, always concerned about others and put their feelings first. She was a wonderful person and helped so many. She loved life and people and everyone was always welcome in her home. She had an amazing mind, phenomenal memory and was smart as a tack! Mom is now with Daddy, Biz, Rocky and with her family members and friends who will love her. My mom loved me and her family so much as we did her! She will be greatly missed and will live on with loving memories and in my heart forever! Forever Loved and Missed! Hopefully I can be the one thing she left for others.

Edith Scott
The world cries today as another angel goes home. There she will wait for the rest of us who are worthy to join her.
Oh, I’m selfish and want to hear her call my name a hundred times a night again. I was so blessed to have been even a small part of her life. She was the best friend, so giving and kind. Her greatest joy was making others happy. She always said she kept the pool just for me because she loved the fact that I enjoyed it so much.
Her laugh was like the tinkling of a bell when an angel gets its wings, which happened often.
Her friends were there for life. The thing I like best about the holidays was giving thanks for and with Ms. Edith. She made sure there was plenty and that everyone had all they wanted. Of course it killed Darlene, but that was ok.
Her arms were always opened with a big welcome. She felt like home to me. I always said “we’re blood.” She always bragged on me and made me feel special. She laughed, cried, prayed, and watched Nancy Grace like nobody else. There will never be another one like her. She talked about Freddy playing Pretty Princess with Saje, Colbie, and Melissa. He’d be the one on the patio wearing a ring, tierra, and necklace. That’s because he and Melissa always won with Colbie crying, “They won and they don’t even know how to play.”
She always told the story of Colbie climbing one of the trees in the back yard. Colbie fell out and Freddy caught her saying, “Oh, look Edith, a falling angel.” An angel catching an angel.
She always said Jackie’s line: “I’m good!” Then there was JJ – she loved him and worried so. But I knew a secret… God loves JJ and JJ loves Him back. So he will be fine. And saving the best for last, Darlene – that premature baby Edith waited so long to take home from the hospital. She was so beautiful, grew up gifted and talented. She was being groomed to take care of everybody else. John 21:18 – Darlene and I have to be the ones to do the work. But, the work is hard and yet oh so worth it. I think Jesus was telling us that we will be rewarded in another way. It means to do His work while He was going on to Heaven and our purpose is to share His gospel, love, and generosity. Ms. Edith was an example to all who knew her. Let each of us try to excel for her, if not for ourselves.
She loved Saje’s poems, Colbie’s Noah, Sidney’s “gift of gab”, Alex’s sweet ways and phone calls on loud speaker, Carson’s beauty care, and Andie’s sweet face. She especially loved all my boyfriends who called and talked with her regularly. She was so much fun. Mel, Mike, my brother Jeff, Phillip, Hal, and James. She loved Allen best of all. She always loved his style and wanted us to end up together. She was right, he’s very special in his own way. God bless them all!
Ms. Edith, now you’re with our Freddy, Grand Pa Stone, Biz, but most of all “Rocky” whose “gonna be a book keeper.” That was the someone who just wanted to be with you. He was the best kept secret. Only you and Grandpa Stone knew for sure. Now ya’ll can visit Montana any time you want to.
The inheritance that you left me was my Darlin. I hope I get to wait on her the way I did for you. I enjoyed spoiling you rotten, but you gave it right back to me. Every Christmas Darlene couldn’t wait for me to open my presents because it was always the most expensive set of skincare, makeup, and Latisse. Yes, she had to be your cook, shopper, card writer, and everything you wanted her to be and she is the very best. Look what a wonderful family she has and I ask God to guide and direct the rest of us – Brett, Matt, Janie, Me and Mine so we will see you soon.
Let each day be a gift as you did and let us walk in the ways of the wise. I know you are with me so I can be proud in the fact that you loved me so. Thank you, Sweetheart.
Never a day goes by that I won’t think of you and miss you. I know my Stacey Buck is with you. Please dance with her because now your legs are moving and your eyes are seeing. You’re holding the loves of my life.
God is good! I must work like I will live forever and pray like I will die tonight. If I do, I will be with you.
Only God can dry the tears that my heart is crying…
I LOVE YOU!
