Garcia, Florangel C. “Mama Garcia”, 91, of Miami Lakes, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 20, 2014. She was born on January 20, 1923, in Cuba, to the late Manuel Garcia Freijido and Angelina Descalzo. She studied hard to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching and worked as a Teacher for many years sharing her knowledge with her students. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved son, Jorge Garcia; sister, Maria Menendez; niece, Miriam Gregorio; daughter-in-law, Katherine Garcia; her loving grandchildren, Jennifer, Michele and Christopher; and her adored great-grandchildren, Christopher, Emily, Ava, Julia and Baby Garcia. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, from 6-9 p.m. with a Tributes of a Lifetime Service at 7:30 p.m., followed by a Reception until 9:00 p.m. at Boyd-Panciera Hollywood Boulevard Chapel. Funeral Service will be on Thursday, October 23, 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Vista Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
