Anna Hardaway

January 14, 1948~October 15, 2015

Anna was born in Bluefield, West Virginia to William E. & Helen Hardaway. Anna went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 15, 2015, in her home peacefully after a 10 month battle with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. Anna resided in Davie with her loving pets, Melissa the kitty and Patch, one of her stray cats-along with various other pets, rabbits & birds. Yes, she certainly loved animals!

She was very active in the local Salvation Army, and she loved to attend their retreats and was active in local church services.

Anna enjoyed working part time for Publix Supermarkets for the past 17+ years, and she had dozens regular loyal customers that she loved to assist bagging their groceries and bringing the cart out to their cars.

Anna was preceded in death by both of her parents William & Helen Hardaway; her brother, David Charles Hardaway and her sister Linda Ruth Filoso. Anna is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Pam & Jim Chinelly; brother-in-law, Johnny Filoso; along with many local nieces and nephews including: Gina & Alexis Filoso, John Filoso, David Filoso, Jodi Chinelly Nowak her husband Andy and their children, Julianne, Kylie Faith, Alyssa Joy & A.J., Tammy Lynn Chinelly Negron her husband Rick and their children, Selah Marie, Susannah Ruth & Sofiah Jane, Traci Lea Chinelly Klech and her husband Ricky & Jimmy Chinelly, Jr Jimmy made sure that his aunt Anna was spoiled by his loving kindness during the Christmas Season that she loved so much. Anna’s cousins from Virginia were blessed to enjoy spending precious time with Anna during their annual visit to South Florida earlier this month. They are Karen Davis and Eldridge & Vicky Perkins of Virginia and West Virginia and also cousin James D. Hale III “Skipper”. Our entire family is forever blessed by the example that Anna left on our lives.

The family will receive friends during a Celebration of Anna’s life on Friday, October 23, 2015, from 4-7 p.m. at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel with Pastor John C. Chinelly delivering a Eulogy at 6:00 p.m. followed by a Tribute of a Lifetime.
