I truly valued Bob’s friendship. Got to know him via the Steamship Historical Society of S Florida when he was Chairman and I served as Vice Chairman. He was always smiling, caring, compassionate, and a true gentleman. A great jokster.

We shared a love of the sea and ships. Bob had a wonderful career with many friends acquired along the voyage. May God grant him smooth seas.

I first met Bob when he began working at Port Everglades. He was a great person and always willing to help. He had many ship stories to tell. He will be missed by all that knew him or worked with him.

I first met bob a year and half ago while i was at one of the Tattoo conventions. I walked into Vatican Tattoo were he worked as a shop assitant and right away he made the shop atmosphere so comfortable. He was such a nice, calm and soothing man. I was always scared getting my tattoos done but Bob and I would discuss how i will be fine and he was right. Bob you were a great man!! You will be missed, keep on sailing man.

With Love. The Grecco Family and freinds.

I’ve known Bob – who I affectionately called “Pelly” – since 7th grade. He was a world traveller, the “go to” guy for ship memorabilia, story teller, and a good friend. He will be sorely missed at the 50th reunion but always remembered by the Class of ’60.

Bob and I became friends back in

1959. Bob was one of a kind and I

will always remember our times at Lincoln Park and Ray & Joe’s in downtown New Bedford.

My sympathies to Bob’s family and I will miss him. A friend & NBHS classmate of ’60 – who kept in contact w/travel blog & e-mails & phone calls upon arrival in NB & pre-cruise luncheons in Miami at the Port Authority. He lived his life as his classbook said…to enjoy a job in the travel business – and so it was – a final Bon Voyage to my Friend

It was a shock to learn of my long time friend Bob passing away. I worked with him as a fellow marketing Manger at Eastern Cruise Lines and then Admiral Cruise Lines for over 10 years. We often travelled together for business and he was truly a wonderful person. I shall miss him very much. Dinah
