Jirik, John , 92, of Hollywood formally of Smithtown, Long Island, New York passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2005. He is survived by his beloved wife Clara of 70 years; daughters, Nancy Jirik Lambert ; Judith Jirik Kowalski and her husband Raymond; Granddaughter, Katrina Lynn-Jirik Miller, grandchildren Tera Carlos Villavicencio, and Raymond Kowalski III; great-grandchildren, Isabella, Jake, and Lucas Villavicencio; sister, Emily Hudson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. John was a West Hollywood Pioneer serving the community for 30 years as owner and plumbing contractor of Jones and Jirik Plumbing; he was a former chairman of the Broward Plumbing Board, past President of the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce; past President of the West Hollywood Optimist Club; 32nd degree Mason, member of the Mahi Shrine, past member of the Hollywood of the Hollywood Zoning Board and past President of the Gulfstream Racing Pigeon Club. A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, March 28, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church located at 7450 Stirling Road, Hollywood and will be officiated by Monsignor Strano.
