On November 9, 2015, the great Ernest A. Jebb peacefully passed away at his home in Cooper City, Florida, surrounded by his loving family. Ernie (more affectionately known as “Pop Pop”) had just turned 82 years old on October 25 and had a wonderful party at his home during which he was certainly able to satisfy his well-known sweet tooth with an awesome cake prepared by his beloved granddaughter, Brittany. Ernie is survived by a brother (Herb), a sister (Betty), three children (Lisa, Winnie, and Dory), the mother of his three children (Monique), two grandchildren (Brittany and DJ), and one great grandchild (Olivia). Ernie will forever be remembered for his many wonderful attributes, chief among which was that he was a pure class act who always put others before himself. Ernie’s viewing will take place on Thursday, November 12, from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. (with a memorial service at 7:30 p.m.) at Boyd Panciera, 1600 N. University Drive, Pembroke Pines, 33024, (954) 983-6400. Ernie’s burial will take place at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 South State Road 7, Lane 5, Lake Worth, 33449, (561) 649-6489 on Friday, November 13, at 1:45 p.m. For anybody interested, Ernie would prefer charitable contributions being made in his honor to the Humane Society of Broward County (because he loved animals) rather than flowers or other similar gestures.
