Larry Joseph Ault

December 15, 1958~July 27, 2004

Ault, Lawrence Joseph Larry passed away suddenly after an extended illness on Tuesday, July 27 at the young age of 51. Larry & his late father, Joe, established Specialized Pump Co. some 30 years ago. An honest and loyal businessman, he was loved by all. Friends became family by choice. He will always be remembered by his kind acts, generosity, his warm smile, gentle heart, and protective parting phrase of “drive carefully”.
He was his wife Fran’s heart. His children were his world, and he was deeply devoted to his mother. He truly was a spiritual man who believed in the power of prayer. He is survived by his wife Fran, devoted children Darren and Shaina. Additionally he is survived by his loving mother Dolores, brother Thomas Mindy, aunt & uncle Eleanor and Thomas, aunts Ana, Sue, Shirley, Mary Roy, his step-mother Hazel, his mother-in-law Joyce and many, many loving cousins, and dear, dear friends. Preceded in death by his father Joseph Ault. Friends may visit from 2-4 & 6-9, Friday at Boyd’s University Dr. Chapel. There will be a Prayer Service 7:30 PM, Friday at the funeral home. A Christian Mass will be 11:00 AM, Saturday at St. Marks Catholic Church, 5601 South Flamingo Road, Ft. Lauderdale. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to either Kidney Research, Blood Banks of Florida, or Leukemia Research.
A better person, none of us have ever known.

On behalf of the staff of Hydro Pumps, Inc., I would like to offer my most sincere condolences. I have had the pleasure of working with Larry for many years 10 or more. On many occasions our conversations would shift from shop talk to a personal level as we shared common circumstances, i.e., the spouse, the kids, the family-owned business, etc. After speaking with Larry for many years over the phone, I recently had the pleasure of making his aquaintance this past spring. What an impressive man! Larry was kind, patient, and caring – even under circumstances where it may not have been necessary. As a friend of mine once said regarding the sudden passing of a friend; the good Lord must have needed an angel in a hurry. Larry was a good man who will remain in our hearts and our minds forever. He will most surely be missed.
