Melendez, Jose A., 67, of Hollywood passed away Thursday, May 12. He is survived by his wife of years; Manuela Melendez, Sons; Arturo, Jose and Rob Melendez, 6 Grandchildren, and 14 Brothers and Sisters. Pastor Jose Melendez has been a minister since 1980 and served in the Korean War with the US Army. He was the founding pastor of Iglesia La Roca Church, 6245 Pembroke Road in Hollywood. Friends may visit from 6-9 PM, Sunday at Boyd’s Hollywood Blvd. Chapel. There will be a Tributes of a Lifetime Sunday at the funeral home. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM at Boyd’s Chapel.

Cheo was a great man, a excellant father and husband and so wonderful with children. I have beautiful memories of Cheo, from childhood to adult. I remember when I was a little girl I couldn’t wait for my uncle Cheo to pick me up in the city, and take me upstate he was so much fun to be with back than and even now.I love him so much and gave so much to eveyone. I know he’s in a better place and there my mom and all the rest will be together…I will miss you so much. He was a wonderful father,husband,Grandfather,Friend,Pastor.Your niece Marisol
