Dear Colleen, Rick and Britney, Memories of Ricky from his birth have flooded my thoughts and broken my heart. I’ve cried and laughed alot remembering his quick wit and compassionate heart. The first thing that comes to mind is his big smile, his sense of humor and love of life. His laughter and energy and making everyone else smile were contagious. We are all so proud of him for serving his country and protecting us and doing so with pride and dignity. He touched and saved many lives. During hurricane Irene he stayed with Chuck and Chuckie and helped put up shutters and was a hard worker and huge help. Also a huge help in eating as much out of the freezer as they all could before it melted when power went out. There was a special apparent mother/son bond between Colleen and Ricky that was filled with constant laughter. Because they both shared the same life of the party personality that shined through. Ricky and Chuckie were extremely close and there for each other. He touched many and his memory will live on through us all and he will be terribly missed. But always present in our thoughts, memories and hearts. And when we think of him and a smile takes over our face we will know it’s him. We are so deeply saddened for your family’s loss and heartache. There are no words. God bless you. You raised a unique and outstanding son.
