Dear Linda and the Dobso Family,

I am so sorry to hear of Steve’s passing.

I worked at Miami ARTCC from 1970 through March of 2004 and Steve was always a presence. He was a true professional; as an Air Traffic Controller, as an instructor for the training department and as part of the FAA automation team. He was always dependable, a hard worker and well-liked by everyone…and a good friend.

You have my deepest sympathy.

Sincerely,

Dave Dean

To Linda, Lorrie and the entire Dobso family,

Steve, fondly known as “Ducky” will be missed. He was such a fun and caring person. The “AAAs” of the world will surely miss his leadership. I have lots of great memories at all the marathon events that he & Linda sat through in support of us runners and the dinners were always enjoyable with his presence.

Will miss you Steve.

Love, Nancy Moore

Steve was my closest friend while we worked together at ZMA. We both enjoyed polka music and Peestabotchie ? and I liked Franky Yankovic ! He also introduced me to hot peppers !!! He was the best controller EVER ..Really enjoyed working with him..Very patient and caring which made him a great instructor. He was a wonderful family man and altho we didn’t communicate a lot after retirement …he was a great friend and I will miss him a lot !
