Dolly Adams was affectionately known to many as “Mammy” and “Grandma D”. On June 8th, 2018, she passed away in her sleep at the age of 98.

Dolly was the daughter of Ethel and James Hunt, and the sister of Johnny Hunt. Dolly attended the Nelson RC School in Port of Spain, Trinidad. During her early years she enjoyed playing piano, sports, dancing, and participated in the mascarade during Trinidad Carnival. Dolly also cherished the companionship of her lifelong friends Lucille and Gerald Brasnell, Eldica Simeon, Iva Constantine, Zilma Albert, Rita Kingand the Fife family.

Dolly married Henry Adams and together they had 11 children; Evrol, Errol, Cynthia (deceased), Lenore, the late Henry “Junior”, Vita (deceased), Hugh, Felipe, Lilet, Romelia, and Allen. Dolly also held Sheron close to her heart and accepted her as one of her own. Dolly is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was truly a virtuous woman and a precious pearl of wisdom. Her sacrifice, strength, and determination was admired by all. Her spirit will continue live on in the hearts and minds of her family, friends, and loved ones.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM with Tribute of a Lifetime Service at 1:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel. Interment will follow at Lauderdale Memorial Park Cemetery.
