Jacques was 52 years old, a happy man with a big heart. He was a healthy NYC firefighter for 22 years and a proud fireman working in the South Bronx District. Although he had applied for retirement prior to 911, he was not about to abandon his firefighter brothers nor leave the city in distress, he postponed his retirement plans and remained in NY, courageously performing his duty for an additional 14 months. He was one of the first firemen deployed to ground zero on 911 and he went to heaven on June 24, 2008 at 12:30 , victim of stomach cancer. He never complained and suffered tremendously. He left behind his beloved wife, Chantal Paultre; daughter, Stephanie Paultre 21; sons Christopher 19 and Michael 16; and mother, Paulette Rouzeau Paultre Friends may visit from 6-9 PM, Thursday at Boyd’s Hollywood Blvd. Chapel. There will be a Prayer Service 7:00 PM, Thursday at the funeral home. Also there will be a Tributes of a Lifetime, 7:30 PM the same day. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, Jun. 27, at St. Boniface Catholic Church.

My dearest Chantal,
Jacques will always have a special place in my heart and my memories…
If the future seems overwhelming, remember that it comes but one moment at a time!
I will always be here for you!
