Nicole Marie Ebanks age 85 of Aventura, Florida passed away on Friday, April 24th, 2020. She was born on Monday, December 24th, 1934 in Metz, France to Laurent & Marguerite Lambing.

Mrs. Ebanks grew up during World War II and by the time she was ten years old the War had finally ended. Her father, Mr. Laurent Lambing was a very brave and strong man who took care of his families’ wellbeing. When the streets were clear of bombs, he would go out into the neighborhoods and help rebuild doors and windows that were destroyed. Nicole said she’ll, “never forget the day of May 8th 1945 when she heard the news on the radio that the War was over and everyone went outside to find American Soldiers riding in the streets with Army tanks giving out food, candy and care packages to everyone.” That day Winston Churchill announced Victory Day in Europe which officially marked the end of World War II. Those times helped her grow into a strong young lady with hope for the future.

She first married in 1956 and then moved with her family to America in 1966. She lived in North Miami, Florida where she met her second husband, Crosby Ebanks who was the real love of her life. She became a widow when Crosby Ebanks passed in February of 2002.

Nicole spoke three languages: English, French & German. She loved music, dancing, baking and traveling. After losing the love of her life she was devastated and said she would never find another love. Though Nicole was lonely without her other half, she stayed strong and always showed love to her family.

Nicole Marie Ebanks is survived by her daughter, Linda Colon and her two granddaughters, Michelle and Jeanine DiFranco.

A wake for friends and family will be held on Friday, May 1st, 2020, beginning at 11:00am at Holy Cross Lutheran Church 650 NE 135th Street, North Miami, FL 33161
