I am so lost for words, All I could say is that we loved Jay so very much, it was never just that we were friends, it was more than that, you took us into your family, We will never forget all the good times, most of all the love we share together. I send my many thoughts and prayers to you, and to promise I am only a phone call away. We love you so very much Erika, Martin, Tom and Pete.

I worked with Jay for a few years and always enjoyed his humor and his laugh. He was missed from the moment he left on his last day at work and will always be missed. It was such a pleasure knowing Jay. I wish his family much peace and happy memories of a truly wonderful man.

Words cannot express our feelings of loss. Dad was,and still is,such a large part of all of our lives. Each person he knew, or ever had the privilege to meet soon found a friend, and a winning smile. After a conversation with his sister Joyce Honeymyer, I got a glimpse into who my father really was. It is through that conversation that I replayed in my head, during the ceremony, that I felt compelled to speak about the “Doer” of the family. Dad did not say alot of endearing words, especially to those of his immediate family, but rather he chose to lead by example and “Show” his love to those closest to him. Dad had the same relationship with God, and I’m certain that within himself, he revealed to God his love. If nothing else, God will have a sense of humor, and let Dad into heaven, knowing that through the merit system, I spoke about earlier,Dad has brought many to their knees in prayer.

One final note: Dad, you will be missed by all, and forgotten by none. We wish you Godspeed, and can you do something with those Dolphins?

I love you dearly…..

Your Son,

Pete

I had the priviledge of working with Jay for over 10 years. Actually, I got his job, when he was detailed into the IMO position. I learned so much from him, never forgetting to go by the regulations. He was smart, fun, always coming up with something new – never a dull moment in the office! I’ll miss you, bud.
