Weaver – Esther Lantz, 83 of Pembroke Pines passed away Aug. 8. She graduated in 1943 from Miami Edison H.S. and retired from the V.A. Hospital in 1984. Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Amos B. Weaver. She is survived by her children; John Beverly Leaming, Dr. Terry Kay Weaver, and Barbara Machado; grandchildren, Tammie Steven Clary, Carol Lee, Patricia, and Andrew Weaver, Craig Leaming, Vickie Machado; great-grandchild, Craig Patrick; and her brother, Raymond Deanna Lantz.

DrTerrythe Miami Central football star?, John, Barbara and famiies. I was saddend to read you Mom,s obituary earlier today Goodness it took me a couple of hours to remember who Esther Lantz Weaver was. But I kept thinking about it. Went back to the Google listing where I HAD SEEN IT When read your names.and that of your Dad who had also passed. Its been many lives since we have been in touch. John had just met Beverly, Terry was dating Libby I think or anyother of his 1,000 girls!! Barbara was a gorgeous young girl. Roy lived someplace close by and gone into the military service or maybe had just come out wearing skinny jeans! We all went to the Methodist church in Hialeah!!!!! . That is not why I an writing. I wanted to tell you how I remember your Moms kindness to me and to all the kids that went to your home on 103rd & 32nd . She was so very gracious in spite of all the challenges she had faced she always had a loving gesture, a kind word and was always willing to share her experiences with me . I regret not keeping in touch with her. I truly admired her strenght. Geez I just remembered she took us to see South Pacific the play at Dade County Auditorium!! Good thoughts she left me. I hope you all have found peace and comfort in knowing she has moved on to greener pastures. Although it was years ago she crossed over I thought you would like to know someone else remembers her.
