Munson, Robert Raymond, 85, of Davie, peacefully passed away with his loving family by his side on Saturday, February 14, 2015. He was born on September 2, 1929, in Queens, NY. He was the son of the late George Francis Munson and Wilhelmina Munson nee Stock. Robert proudly served in the US Army for several years. He is survived by his devoted wife, Shirley Munson; his loving sons, Robert Allen Pam Munson, Gordon James Nancy Munson, Donald George Munson, Timothy John Brenda Munson, George Patrick Munson, Luke Edward Stephanie Munson; his 12 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. “Bob rode off into the sunrise for the last time. He passed quietly in his sleep from our hands to God’s arms. He fought the good fight for several months battling multiple illnesses at the same time. True to his nature he stayed active and alert until a few days before he left us. Happy Trails Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Friend!”. Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 19, 2015, from 5-8 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel. Funeral Mass will be on Friday, February 20, 11:00 a.m. at Saint David Catholic Church. Interment with Military Honors will follow at South Florida National Cemetery.
