OUELLETTE, SUZANNE “SUE” 80, passed away Monday, April 10, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bethlehem, PA on April 15, 1936 to the late Earl Robert Smith, Sr. and the late Thelma Lucille Burk Smith, Sue grew up in Bethlehem before moving to Hollywood, FL where she graduated from South Broward High School. Sue married her husband of 62 years, Clare, in 1954, and they resided in Pembroke Pines, FL.
Sue enjoyed a long career in the dental field and retired in 2001as Office Manager for the practice of Dr. Guillermo “Bill” Rodriquez, Miramar, FL. During her lifetime Sue enjoyed doll collecting, sewing, cake decorating, candy making, and ceramic painting. Her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren filled her heart with pride and joy.
In addition to her parents, Sue is preceded in death by her brother Earl Robert “Bob” Smith, Jr. of Ocala, FL, her brother William Charles Smith of Hollywood, and his wife Lisa.
Surviving are her husband Clare Lawrence Ouellette originally of Detroit, MI; children Steven (Shirley), Margate, FL; Lisa Trainor (Tom), Poquoson, VA; Cathy Kroon (Chris), Miramar, FL; and, Brian (Kim), Wilton Manors, FL. Also surviving are six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Sue is also survived by an uncle, Gordon “Pep” Burk of Bethlehem, PA.; sisters-in-law, Betty Smith (Bob) of Ocala, FL and Yvonne Hoggarth of Minneapolis, MN.
