Wentz, Carlton Thomas, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Parkwest Medical Center. Born in Danville, VA, he lived most of his life in Florida where he worked as a linotype operator for the Hollywood Sun-Tattler and the Ft. Lauderdale News. After retiring, he moved to Brandon, FL for many years before relocating to Knoxville to be near family. Carlton was Baptist and loved to sing in church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Erlene, and his granddaughter, Kimberly. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kathy & Roger Colangelo of Ft. Lauderdale; his son and daughter-in-law, Robert & Nancy Wentz of Farragut, TN; grandchildren Krista, Robert, Katie, Michael, Tim, and Danny; and great-grandchildren A.J., Nikita, Natasha, and Kimberly and foster grandchildren Christopher and Kayliah. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2012, from 12-2PM with a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM, at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Dr. Chapel. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens.
