Lydia Urcuyo, 88, of Hollywood, went Home to be with her Lord on Monday, March 18, 2019.
She was born in 1930, in Rivas, Nicaragua, to the late Raul Barrios and Carmen Schelttel.
Lydia moved to south Florida with her family many years ago for the great opportunities she knew she had in the United States. She worked as a cashier but her main job and the one she was most proud of was of being a mother. She dedicated her life to her family, was always there for them. She will be deeply missed by her family who loved her so much and friends.
She is survived by her two children, Helen (Roberto Diaz) Urcuyo and Alfonso Urcuyo. She is also survived by Rosa Suerio whom Lygia loved like her own daughter.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 20th, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel. A mass of christian burial will be officiated on Thursday, March 21st, 10:00 a.m. at Nativity Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
