John Jay Tavernia

John Jay Tavernia, 60, passed away, August 2, 2006. He was a beloved husband to Kathleen nee Mullin, his wife of 37 years, and devoted father to Michael, Andrew and Steven. He is also survived by his brothers; Robert and Richard. Jay was born in Yonkers, NY to John and Beverly Tavernia and has lived in Forida since 1978. He recently celebrated his 40th anniversary with the same comany, now Avaya Communications. Friends may visit from 2-4 & 6-9pm, Sunday at Boyd’s University Dr. Chapel. There will be a Prayer Service and Tributes of a Lifetime Service at 7:00pm Sunday at the funeral home. A Funeral mass will be held at St. Stephen Catholic Church Monday at 11:00am. Interment will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla, NY.
