Spear, Susan Marie, 49, of Miramar, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2011. She is survived by daughters, Christa Sperduto and Dawn Marie Hughes; and sister, Brenda Balcarcel. Gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2011, from 5:30-9:00 PM with a Memorial Service at 7:00 PM, all at the funeral home.

I’m am so sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of Sue and Mr. Spear during my high school years. Sue helped us build our Class of 79 Homecoming floats. And Mr. Spear was right there helping us. I’m pretty sure he provided the flat bed and pulled it in the parade down Hollywood Blvd. Sue was in many of my math classes and was so smart too.
