May, Clare Hanson, age 85, of Weston, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday,  August 11, 2019. A south Florida resident since 1960 coming from Rutherford, New Jersey. 

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who always had a smile and a positive attitude to all.  She was an avid traveler and sports lover, especially her Miami Dolphins, the Heat and a passion for the International Olympics. Clare lived life to the fullest, an extreme nature lover who had an affinity for anything to do with the mountains and ocean and all the living creatures involved.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Forrest. Survived by children, Julie A. (Stephen) Forbess, Barbara (Neal) Van Valkenburg, Richard  F. (Wanda) Poalillo Jr, Jeffrey (Patricia) Poalillo, John J. Connelly Jr; step-son, Mark A (Theresa) May; step-daughter, Karen Rao; brother, William (Lois) Hanson; fourteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  

Gathering of family and friends will take place on Tuesday, August 13th, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM with a Tributes of a Lifetime Service at 7:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel.
