Joan M. Maxwell, 75, of Plantation, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016. She was born on March 10, 1940, in Washington, DC, to the late Joseph Higgins and Lorraine Hild. Preceded in death by her son, Joseph Maxwell. Survived by sons, Thomas Varricchio, Edward Varricchio, Stephen (Sharon) Varricchio and Kurt (Amy) Varricchio; daughter, Marie Varricchio and her husband Tony; brother, John Higgins; and sister, Patricia Sturdivant. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 25, 2016, from 6-8 p.m. at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, Hollywood Boulevard Chapel. Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, January 26, 11:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
