Fernando Martinez, a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, of Plantation, passed away Monday, March 21, 2016, at the age of 92. He was born on August 20, 1923, in Aguada, Puerto Rico, to the late Antonio Martinez and Petra Garcia. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gloria Arrieta. Survived by his children, Tony Martinez and family, Ralph Martinez and family, Luis (Freddy) Martinez and family, Alicia Canela and family, Gloria Martinez Arrieta and family, and Maritza Arostegui and family; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, from 2-8 p.m. with a Tributes of a Lifetime Service at 6:30 p.m. at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel. We will have a second visitation on Thursday, March 24, from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery in Miami.
