Barclay, Robert S., 73, of Pembroke Pines passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2006. He was born in 1933 to Daniel and Alice Stilwell Barclay. He was a mechanic for Eastern Airlines from 1961 to 1989. He then worked for Office Depot until he retired in 1998. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and working with his hands. He was predeceased by his brother Daniel. He is survived by his wife of 49 years; Verna, daughter; Sandra Riley and her husband Bob, son; Bob Barclay and his grandchildren, Valerie, Bobby, Nicole, Michele and Tyler. Friends may visit from 11:00-1:00 PM, Saturday, May 27 with a Service being celebrated in the funeral home at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Lauderdale Memorial Park.

I have known Bob for almost forty years. He is and always will be my best friend. We had so many fun times while working at Eastern Airlines. He took me under his wing and I am a better person because of him. Bob had a soft spot that only a few of us were ever privy to. He loved Verna very much and was so proud of his son and daughter. I will miss Bob very much and hope we can see eachother again in another life.

So sorry we couldn’t make it down to be with all of you, but know that you are in our prayers. I was able to read Uncle Bob’s obituary in this website and will be making a donation in memory of him to UM Sylvester.
