Paul was a proud father and grandfather who loved and adored his two daughters, Paula Berlinsky Stan and Debbie Whitebrook, his grandson and name sake, Paul, and his precious granddaughter, Natasha. He is survived by all. Paul was a pillar in his community; active with the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce for over 30 years, was a proud member of the Miami Beach Rotary Club and sat on the Board of the Miami Beach Parks and Recreation Department for many years. He played a pivotal role in the design, creation and implementation of the Palm Island Park which countless families enjoy today. He lived his life to the fullest, and played as hard as he worked. Paul’s true athletic passion was his tennis, which he played for more than 40 years. He was ranked in the top 10 in the State of Florida and even played at the US Open with his eldest daughter, Paula. His love of sports also included golf and scuba diving. Paul and his wife traveled extensively until he was no longer able to do so. There was another side to Paul which he shared with his youngest daughter, Debbie, and that was his career and clients which he enjoyed and served for more than 37 years with Merrill Lynch. Paul was a man with pride, integrity, passion and a sparkle that all who knew him could not ignore. He will be missed by many every day in every way. There will be a memorial service held on Monday February 18 at Boyd’s Hollywood Blvd. Chapel.
