My thoughts and prayers are with your family and friends, Dan. All we can hope for in this life – is to make a difference. Let it be known, you did that for so many people. Weather it was with a hug, a joke to make us laugh or smile, or just being the son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin or friend, you were to many…. you made a difference in our lives and we are forever grateful. We are grateful God wrote you into the story of our lives. We all cry in hearing that you have left this place, but we are comforted in knowing that you will always be in our hearts, our fond memories and you will always be a very blessed part of our lives.

I met Dan in 2002 through a friend when I lived in San Diego. Dan always had a smile and something funny to say; he could even smile with his eyes! The funniest thing is I moved to Ft Lauderdale almost a year ago, we live about 15min drive apart…yet, I saw him more when I flew back n forth from SD to SA, than I have living in the same city! HAHA I will miss you always Dan and remember all the good times hanging out. Hugs and Peace be with you! I’ve only met Dan’s sister JoMarie a few times, usually at the King William Fair during Fiesta and again this year at Calle 8 in Miami. What a good sis for visiting! My heart goes out to you and the family.

Thank you to all his friends that have left such wonderful messages and memories. I know he made an impact on my life, but I didn’t realize what an impact he made on so many other lives. Thanks again for keeping my uncle’s memory alive.

My sadness comes and goes in waves For our time with Dan seemed much to short But Dan’s smile and the way his eyes would light up when he said hello Will forever remain in our hearts I choose not to focus on the loss But rather on how Dan added to our lives each day. And that is how I will remember Dan And give thanks for especially when I pray.
Dan you have added to my life in ways that you now probably already know. You were truly a good friend to me and many others. I am forever grateful for you, your smile and your gentle heart.
To all of Dan’s Family and friends, may you find peace in the time and love that you have shared with Dan and know that one day we will be together again.
Dan it is not goodbye my friend but just so long for now until I see you again
With Love and gratitude, Your Friend Michael

I met Dan as a shy senior at Central Catholic 27 years ago. He never lost that simple, shy aspect. He was a man of deep faith, simple needs, and had a big heart. We shared many times together both good and bad and I will truly miss him. He always enjoyed time with true friends and relished the time with his special friends. When he moved to Florida, he lived with me and it was such a joy to have him around each day. He will be missed by so many and it is a tragic loss to all who knew him and loved him. He remains in my thoughts and prayers and I know he is a peace, though we all believe he left us way too soon.

Dan was one of those special people that you meet in life whose energy had the power to light up a room. He was one of those special souls that you truly looked forward to seeing and each time you did, you left him saying, “What a great guy.” Frank and I feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to know him, although, like so many others, feel that it was certainly not long enough. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends who miss seeing that awesome smile each day.
