Nereida,
What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why Michele left this earth so soon, or why she left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that she died, but that she lived. And that her life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

My heart is reaching out to you,
For what you’re going through;
I’m thinking of you frequently
And praying for you, too.
If there’s something I can do,
Anything at all,
Think of me thinking of you,
And don’t hesitate to call.
She’s in a better place right now
Than she’s ever been before;
All pain is gone; she’s now at rest;
Nothing troubles her anymore.
It’s we who feel the burden of
Our sadness and our grief;.
We have to cry, to mourn our loss,
Before we get relief.
We know we’ll reconnect with her
At the end of each life’s road;
We’ll see her cherished face again
When we release our earthly load.
Love,

To the Family of Michele,
I am so sorry to have to offer my condolences on Michele’s passing. I have known her since she came to Miami, HUD and I have enjoyed working with her all these years. Nothing was to big or too small for her to deal with graciously and kindly. She always had a smile in her voice and a ready laugh to make the problems we were dealing with seem easier. She would always find the answer to any problem!!! She was a pleasure to deal with all these years and I will miss her very much.
I hope these little pieces of good memories help you and your family during this very difficult time.

Let us not look back in anger, or forward in fear, but around in awareness for Michelle has touched the lives of others in the work she has done with HUD. Her patience and determination to assist others has always helped me through some challenging times. And though none of us desires to lose a love one or a friend it?s difficult today to see beyond the sorrow but when you look back and think of all the memories it will help get you through today and face and comfort you tomorrow. I experienced for the first time the loss of a loved one a year ago and though death leaves heartaches no one can heal; love conquers and leaves memories no one can steal. I can say in time it does get better. And like a flower that withers away always remember the seed remains. Be encouraged, my prayers are with you during your time of bereavement.

I remember the first time I saw u, I was talking to u in the street outside ur house. Your mother yelled out the window for u to get out of the street cause,”your no street girl”. lol Your mother said if I want to talk to u I can come in the yard to talk to u. So I did. Scared like a lil bitch. Man how old was we 12, 13? I remember your mom use to make those,”Meat Jacks”. They were so good. I remember we use to go to the outdoor pool together…. I remember how you use to walk around the block with those big ass green rollers in your hair. I use to tess you like crazy. I remember when we use to jump in the car and roll out. Laughing and talkin about people like crazy. I remember all the deep talks we had. I remember when you came down to Miami to hangout with me when I lived down there. Man we had so much fun! I remember when you moved to Miami. Remember the resturant we ate at? I’m so glad we stayed in contact with each other all these years. I haven’t talk to you in a couple of years and now I hear your gone.I will truly miss you and never ever forget you. Descanse en la paz. Te quiero, mi amor. Siempre y para siempre! R.I.P. Dear Don and Nereida,
We are so sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved daughter Michelle. Nothing can be more devastating for parents than to lose a child whom they have seen to blossom into a beautiful woman and mother on her own.
Our last remembrance of Michelle was when we fondly remember her during the 2005 Family Reunion. We could not help but to notice how mature and gracious she had become. She and her daughter, Tatiana, obviously enjoyed the fun and excitement of being around family members and the joy of being loved by their larger extended family.
She will be sorely missed by her parents, her daughter,brother and many others.
Our love and sincere condolences go to the family. We pray that God gives you the strength and the support that you will need during the days to come.
Love,
Donald, Juireine and Family

How strange is it that at this moment I can remember so clearly, like it was just yesterday when we were in front of the TV at Grandma’s house and singing the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse song. And then my mind quickly moves forward a few years and I remember you being pregnant, me taking you for your first appointment, with me trying to play big cousin and giving you advice. Then all of a sudden we were grown and as we grew up, we grew out. Life seems to do that to everyone. But we always kept in touch through emails or updates from our parents. One thing that was true then and stays true now is the love I have always had for you my cousin. I am glad we got to share that last IM, simply stating, “luv ya cuz.” Reply: “ luv ya to cuz :”

Ms. Gomez was a wonderful woman. I met her in 2005 through my highschool close friend Tati. I loved Ms. Gomez dearly. She was an angel to our silver strutter flag squad and she continued to play that role even after I graduated. I remember when she would have me, tati, and some other friends at her house preparing for a game. She always told us “Ya betta act like ya kno, cuz I don’t offer anything. You betta speak up and you shall receive”. Tati laughed and said “yea, my momma dont play’.. lol. Ms. Gomez treated me as one of her child, I love her and she will truly be missed! She has done so much!!!!!! God deserves another angel in heaven to watch over us! And to tati, you might have lost a mother, but you have gained alot of brothers and sisters!
Love you guyz.

Uncle Don and family we are truly sorry for what you had to endure the last couple of months. We know saying this wont help much but please, keep up your spirits, keep your beautiful memories and be there always for one another. We are keeping you in our prayers.
