To the family: Marcia is not gone, but changed- souls turned to light, transformed into stars that burns forever in the sky… shining down upon us through openings in heaven, keeping watch and sending love. Marcia will forever be missed

To Marcia’s family,

I wish to share this special time I had with Marcia last year at our Holiday Party held by Pediatrix. She was my dance partner that evening, we danced a great “Merengue” together. I was impressed how well she new the dance steps and with what energy and enthusiasum she danced. I could tell she loved to dance. This is how I will remember her. That wonderful time we shared together.

I will never forget you Marcia.

I call you my friend because that is the place you grew inside my heart. I will miss our dinners, our wine tastings, our laughter, your assuredness and I will surely miss your diligence as you worked by my side as a skilled proctor. The wealth of you is left here in your son Shaun. Through him your candle will continue to burn brightly. Thank you for the time you shared with me, my friend.

I know Marcia to be that sassy fire cracker. She was a real fun person to be around; so vibrant and always made me laugh. She was like a mother to me. We were the best of friends. I know now that age has no boundaries in terms of friendship. She was a God fearing woman; very dedicated to her church and her God. So, I do not have to wonder where she is, for her place is with the Lord. I do not have to worry for she is with her Jesus. I am blessed to have known her. I love you MIss Marce always and forever!

Ms. Marce,

You were a good person, devoted mother and friend. I admired your zest for life. What I will remember about you most is how you told it like it was. You will be missed by many.

When we lose someone we love, it seems that time stands still and what moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. Marcia, I will not just remember that you went to a better place, but how you made me laugh and how you listen and always gave me your candid point of view. Your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget. I will miss you my friend.
Shaun please accept my heartfelt sympathy. May the peace which comes from the memories of love shared, comfort you now and in the days ahead.

Marcia was my co-worker for more than a year! She was free spirit, and fun to be with.  She loved to sing and always looked her best! She will always be in my prayers. Rest in Peace Marcia.

My most memorable memory of Marcia, was at our 2008 Company Christmas party. I can always recall how much of a great time she was having that night, she did not want to stop dancing, she did not even want to go home. All the times we went to lunch together. I am so happy to remember her as she always was smiling and happy. Thank you Marcia for those memories.

Always Wilda

I met Marcia when I started working at Foundation over 10 years ago. I remember when I walked in she told me, “Don’t worry , I will take care of you.” That has been true ever since. She has always looked out for me and although we haven’t worked together for a long time, she has remained a good friend. She is my Florida mom. The one I can call on any time. The ear I can bend any hour of the day. My entire family will miss you Marcia. My girls talk about you all the time. I know you have gone on to a better place but I will always hold you close to my heart. Sean, you had a wonderful mom. Love, Patricia, Winston, Brianna, Kailee, and Jaiden.

To Shaun : my deepest sympathy goes out to you, for the loss of your mother. Although I didn’t meet her, it was when you visited Sydney with Catrina, that our family met you, which was such a pleasure for us all, especially our Grandmother who delighted in your company. Raising a good man must be one of life’s greatest achievements & for that I honour her.

I never got to know Ms. Marcia very well, but I saw her often at Ms. Dawn’s house, which is quite near my mother’s. I was very surprised to hear of the severity of her illness, and extremely saddened when she passed. May she rest in eternal peace. For my own part, I will never forget the sound of her voice; I will always remember its clarity and sweet island melody. Aren’t they so odd, the memories that you keep of someone when they’re gone?
