“Pops” as we all knew him as kids was at every one of Ricky & Josh’s baseball games as kids…regardless of weather or distance “Pops” was always there to root and coach the two most important boys in his life. As one of Ricky’s closest friends through high school I was blessed to feel the same love and feel a part of the Guzzo family. Pops was like a grandpa to me as my own lived in Massachusetts and I did not get the opportunity to see them that often. Words cannot express the amazing man this world has lost. He has been the rock of his family and to countless young men throughout Broward County. From the depths of my heart I just want to say “Thank you Pops! For showing us what a truly good man is and setting an example of how to live our lives and treat family & others.” The world has lost a GREAT man, but heaven has gained one of its best. Be at peace with little Mario and root him on in heaven till we all meet again. Rest in peace Pops…we love you!

Mrs. Guzzo, Ali, MaryAnne, Ricky, and Josh, your husband, father and grandfather is a stellar example of a man who truly loved and lived for his family. He was so proud of all his children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter. The last time I saw him a few years ago, he was wearing the dog tag with Josh’s picture on it – beaming with pride, as always. I will never forget that. Nor will I forget his great laugh and smile. He loved talking about baseball and was thrilled when Ali and Ricky started coaching together. He loved all of you so very much. I am deeply sorry for your loss.
