Many years have passed since I have last had contact with Ms. Walter, but the love and gratitude that I had my entire life has never diminished. Ms. Walter was my Sunday School teacher at Little Flower Church in Hollywood. When I moved out to Southwest Ranches in 1970, I still went to Sunday School for several years later, and had kept in contact through letters we wrote to one another, I still remember the Decorated Soaps we made for Easter and Christmas, and the small plaster plaques. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing her, was blessed. I know she is definitely seated in the VIP section of Heaven. I am sorry I missed so many years, and did not have the chance to say "Thank You" and tell her that the love and friendship she gave me, has never faded, and is a core part of what bound the love and goodness that is in my heart since being a child. God bless you, my teacher, my friend, Love always and forever, John Pate. I hope to meet you again, to tell you how much influence and impact you had on me. How grateful I am to have known you.
