Velez, Carmen Julia, 65, of Hollywood, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2011. She is survived by her loving husband, Hermelindo Velez; sons, Herman Miriam Velez, Jimmy Kathy Velez & Edwin Jessica Velez; mother, Julia Ortiz; brother, Jose Garcia, Jr., and sisters, Blanca Negron, Ilia Rivera, & Lydia Bonstead. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 from 6-8 PM with a Tributes of a Lifetime Service at 7:00 PM, all at Boyd-Panciera Hollywood Blvd. Chapel. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2011, 10:00 AM, also at the funeral home. Internment will follow at Lauderdale Memorial Park Cemetery.

To the Velez Family,
Please know that we are thinking and praying for all of you during this most difficult time. We loved Tati and will always remember her kind heart, genuine and sincere personality and her joyous laughter. She was a person you enjoyed talking too and listening to her stories. You guys were truely blessed to have her as your mother Monchie, Ed and Jim….Tuti RIP and as wife Don Kinito. She will truely be missed but will be in peace and in good company with Granpa Jaquine and my mom Coqui cooking up a hevenly sancocho and asking Jesus to bless us all on earth! God bless you guys.
