Albuerne , Luis M., M.D., 87, of Hollywood, born in Baracoa, Cuba passed away Thursday, June 9, 2011. He is survived by his wife Cecilia; children; grandchildren, great-grandchild; brother; & sister. Friends may visit Tuesday, 6-8 PM, at the funeral home with Tributes of a Lifetime service beginning at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass, 10:00 AM, Wednesday, at Nativity Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens North. The family has requested memorial donations be sent to Prostate Cancer Foundation, www.pcf.org.

I will always have fond memories of Dr.Albuerne . As always, I will be there for Cecilia and the rest of the Albuerne family. It was truly an honor to be associated with such an outstanding man who accomplished so much in his lifetime. He was and still is an inspiration to me.

Dr Albuerne was a man of high principals and morals, a caring and affectionate individual….loved by many friends, former patients, neighbors and family…he will be missed

Dr. Albuerne had a true strength, character and kindness that can be difficult to find these days. I only knew him and his family for a short time, but I am blessed to have spent that time with him. Despite what he was going through these past few months, he always had a smile and a thoughtful word for me. He will be missed.

Dear Family, my thoughts and prayers are with you throughout these difficult times. Although separated by distance, I have never forgotten Dr Albuerne’s care of Papi Dr Damian Caraballo. His profesional and friendly care was a huge help and our whole family will always remember that.
May the Lord welcome him in Heaven and may God place His arms of comfort around the family left behind.
Albuerne is in a happy place, with no more tears or pain just eternal joy. Celebrate!
