Thank you, Dear Carolyn, for your decades of friendship. You have been a role model for all of us and were tireless in your efforts to live a life of love and service to our beloved Catholic Church. Your dedication to the Church, especially the CCD program over many years, was unmatched. You were loved by countless children who passed through CCD and were enriched by it and by you. They were constantly in your prayers as were many of us who were so blessed to call you our friend. We can honestly say we never heard one unkind word come from your mouth – ever!! Whenever we were with you, we felt as though we were in the presence of a living saint. We will miss you and your beautiful smile very much, and know that you will pray for all of us from heaven. We love you,

Sandy, Tom and Kenny Ida

Carolyn, I met you almost 40 years ago and began to work with you in the CCD program a few years later for more than 19 wonderful years. You will always be in my heart. Thank you for the prayers you said for me and my family. I truly believe you will continue to pray in heaven for all those you prayed for on earth. I know how you looked forward to meeting Jesus in person and now I feel you have. John, Denise, Joleen and I will never forget your wonderful smile and beautiful face and especially your love.

I have known Carolyn since I was ordained in 1972. She has always been a blessing to me and all the Oblates who have known her. Even when she was in her own struggles with sickness and loss, she always told me that she was praying for me. I know she continues to do that now. St. Stephen CCD will never be quite the same.
