Murray Sams, Jr., 88, of DeLand, FL, was born to Genevieve and Murray Sams. A Navy pilot during WWII, Dartmouth College alumni, and Stetson Law School graduate, Murray Sams was a nationally renowned trial attorney who practiced for over 50 years. He was a member of numerous legal associations and a friend to many lawyers. Mr. Sams is predeceased by one son, Murray III, and is survived by his loving wife, Trina, and eight children, Travis, Genevieve, Patrick, Christian, Trina, Susan, Francis, and Catherine. To share in the loving memory of his life, please join the family Monday, August 8, from 5:00 – 9:00 PM at Boyd Panciera Family Funeral Care, 6400 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood, 954-989-9900. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Covenant Home, 733 Breakers Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304-4100.

murray was a brilliant lawyer who offered services to my family and as result became a friend…when i met murray he was single and looking for a lifetime companion; he was a caring and fascinating person and deserved all the best. with much pleasure i introduced him to trina, who became his wife. with sincere sympathy to his family.

I worked for Mr. Sams in 1975. He was an amazing person with a great law practice. What an incredible job I had at the age of 23. I will never forget that incredible experience.
