Beate,Celine,Phillip and family. Our deepest sympathy. Ruben will forever live in our memories. Strange how in times like these they come to mind. Like the time Ruben and I were singing 80’s songs while driving. Or the time we went camping and he asked if I had mousse for his hair. Promptly saving ” the day” for him. Or the times we were at a social setting and he would ask me to look up the score on my iPhone for some game he was following. And many other fond memories. I will truly miss my “Puertorican Brother” as I would describe Ruben to my co-worker whenever I shared the fun we had at some social gathering. Gone but not forgotten. Eddie, Daniela and Family. Remembrance is a golden chain Death tries to break,

But all in vain.

To have,to love, and then to part

Is the greatest sorrow of one’s heart

The years may wipe out many things

But some they wipe out never.

Like memories of those happy times

When we were all together.

It is sad to hear the lost of a good friend and a battle buddy. Thank you for your friendship and mentorship during our time served together in Erlangen, Germany and during Desert Storm/Desert Shield. I can still remember that beautiful Doberman Pincher Lady that you had in the barracks and that fast Volkswagen Jetta that took me to places when I first got to Germany. You will be missed my friend, but never forgotten.

Con mucho cariño,

The Robles Family!

Ruben, may you rest in peace. We are absolutely sure that you will find a good place in heaven.

We never met a more optimistic person than Rubino That’s how we called him. He had the ability to make everybody smile within seconds. With his boyish attitude he never really complained about his life, although it has not always been easy. When he entered our house, within a moment it was filled with loud humor and happiness. Even our little dog Captain loved him for playing hide and seek with him imitating a big barking dog. Ruben has always been a great companion within the 10 years of our floridian life. Thank you, Ruben. We were looking so much forward to climbing the austrian mountains with him, but instead now he will watching us from above – and hopefully send a big smile down to us. We will miss him!

Rubino, we will always keep you in our memories!!!
