Young, Carl D., 64, of Hollywood, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Young; and children, Barbara Ann Young, Robert Young, Michael Young, Steven Young and Jeffrey Young. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012, from 4-6 PM with a Tributes of a Lifetime Service at 5:00 PM, all at Boyd-Panciera University Drive Chapel.

Dad, a mere 1000 words is not enough to express what you meant to me. You conveyed to me a sense of strength, courage, honor, conviction, willpower, self-belief. You taught me the ropes when it comes to dealing with people, to use my sense of intution and dig deeper than what appears on the surface. You were a hard worker, a workingman. I chose a different path, that of higher education. Yet I respect that you became successful in your career and have left a legacy of wisdom and knowledge that cannot always be captured in books. Though you have left this world, a part of you now lives in those whom you touched. May the seeds planted grow and shine in your honor. I love you, Dad.
