Wixted, Philomena L., 87, of Pembroke Pines, a South Florida resident since 1952, coming from Mechanicville, New York, passed away Thursday, March 29th, 2012. “Fanny” has always been adored, revered and loved by all she touched. Though she has departed from this life our memories of her will never fade. She was the standard to which we will all hold ourselves, the person we wanted most to be like and to make proud. She has been such a huge influence and part of our lives. Her teachings, guidance and sense of humor will always be with us. Fanny’s heart had no limits. She had three children, Matthew, Christine and Patricia, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was loved by many friends and relatives in Florida, New York and Italy. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, March 31st at Boyd-Panciera Funeral Home, 1600 N. University Drive, Pembroke Pines from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, with a service at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made to the Amercian Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123, in memory of Philomena.

Matt and Marette:
Kathy and I are thinking of you during this difficult time.
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered “come to me.” With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest.God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. Irish funeral prayer

To Philomena’s Family,
I knew Fannie primarily through her daughter Patty, my best friend. Patty always spoke so highly of her mother. She loved her dearly and considered her a role model. In Patty’s life she strove to have the same strength and goodness that she saw in her mother. They both succeeded in leaving this earth a better place through their positive attitudes and loving deeds.
