Requardt, Roger Lee, 79 passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 24, 2012. A native of Ft. Mitchell KY, he was a Pembroke Pines resident since 1998, and lived in Miami Shores from 1974 to 1998. Roger received his MBA from the Harvard Business School 1958 in addition to a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Harvard 1954. A veteran of the Korean War, Roger was stationed in the Philippines from 1955 to 1956, where he successfully intercepted enemy code. He was professionally engaged with the Kroger Company and later with Wallace International as the VP of Sales. In his retirement years, Roger was an umpire for the Broward County high school girls’ fast pitch softball. Roger is survived by his wife, Eileen; his children; Kelly Bruce Morecroft of Pembroke Pines, Tracy Hage of Cooper City, John Jean Marvel Requardt of Longmeadow, MA, and Tricia Michael Bornstein of Shrewsbury, MA, and seven grandchildren. Gathering will be held on Thursday, Dec. 27, from 5-7 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 6:30 p.m. at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, Douglas Rd. Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations to Vitas Hospice Care 16800 NW 2nd Ave., North Miami Beach are requested.

Dear Eileen and family,

Our deepest sympathy to all on this solemn occasion. We will all miss his friendly smile. Roger was a fine neighbor, I will remember all the good times we shared.

He is now in the arms of our Dear Lord.

Rest peacefully Roger till we meet again.
