Uncle Phil, Aunt Cathy and Nicole,

Again, words cannot express how sad and unfortuante this tragedy is. Phil was full of life and had so many loving friends and family. He was a great person and the outpouring of support, sympathy and love is a testiment of how he lived his life and the effect he had on the people that surrounded him. Although we weren’t very close, due to the fact we do not live near each other, your family always held a special place in my heart. While growing up we did spend a lot of time together as we would visit Florida more regularly, but through time, the visits lessened. This does not take away the memories and fellings I have towards you guys. I love you guys and will always be there for you. Hopefully we can get an opportunity to see each other soon. Lil Phil….see you someday, just know that if we lived close by, I can guarantee with much certainty, we would hang out often as you seemed to be such an amazingly, fun, inspiring and great friend, person, son, counsin, nephew, grandson, brother, uncle, etc. Until we meet again. love you.

Albert Jr.

In a million years I never thought I would be doing this for you. Your leaving has left an emptiness in my heart that will never be filled. I was so very lucky to have a son like you. We shared so many great times together which I will cherish for the rest of my life. I now know how long it takes to create perfection, 24 years. I love and miss you forever. Pops.

Phil and Cathy,

I have a broken heart for you. You two were given a great gift, a gift that many have never experienced. Your memories of Phillip will keep his legacy alive. I will continue to pray for your peace as it will be needed for years to come when all the people go home with their own issues. Please, remember that you must climb out of the valley to the other side and not stay in that dark place, for Phillip would want that so much. You are great parents and wonderful individuals…never forget that. Peace will be hard to reach but it can happen if you believe it will. I love you two and will continue to keep you near my heart forever.

Words alone could never express just how sad I am for your loss. Three or four times a week, Chris or Paul would play a recording of Philip over the PA system from a picture cube you had on your desk. I even remember what he said, “Happy Birthday Daddy……I love you very much” I remember one time I was watching you as it played out over the PA. When it finished, you had a proud Dad look on your face. Things like that leave a lasting impression on those that view them, and it says a lot about a family man, like you.

Parents should never have to say goodbye to their children, the natural progression is children saying goodbye to their parents. When I lost my Mom in 2009, the only person that called me from work was you. Then, 9 months later when I had to say goodbye to my Dad, you again called me. That meant more to me than I can ever express.

When I hurt my neck in a car crash in hollywood, I met your Mom, who brought me a towel and cold drink of water, and I was astounded by her genuine concern for someone she did not even know.

While I wish there were some magic words to make all of the pain go away, there aren’t. But there are words that will make tears from memories turn to smiles as time goes by. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. May the Lord comfort you at this difficult time, and assure you that He as welcomed Philip into His loving embrace.
