Thomson, Alan G., 85 years old of Davie, FL. passed away Thursday March 21, 2013. Al was born in St. Albans, New York on February 1, 1928 to Margaret & Walter Thomson& lived on Staten Island, New York for most of his childhood & graduated from St. Peter’s High School. He served in the U.S. Navy in WWII & worked for Continental Insurance Co. in New York until he was transferred to Miami, FL. in 1967. He retired in 1989 & enjoyed his hobby of building model boats & wood working & many good times with his family & friends. He & his wife also enjoyed traveling & square dancing.
Al is survived by his loving spouse of 58 years, Marion Molloy Thomson & his sons Gregory & Steven & daughter in law Gloria & his brother John Gerald Thomson. He is predeceased by his daughter Kathleen & his two brothers Walter T. Thomson & Robert William Thomson & his parents.Also survived by five grandchildren Gregory, Alison, Jennifer, Steven & Megan & four great grandchildren Parker, Rebecca, Brendan,& Lucas & sisters in law Kay Leahy, Irene Sturges & Pat Price & many nieces, nephews & friends.

Uncle Al,I remember when my ship pulled into Ft. Lauderdale,and you came and picked me up and brought me home,that was a good time..1967-1968…till we meet again…
