I remember meeting her for the first time at your and Gerry’s wedding…a little spitfire with a quick wit…a little intimidating, immensely charming. Dear Michelle,

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you in this time of great loss. My husband Mark and I knew of the very special relationship that you and Yolanda shared. A bond and closeness that went far beyond the traditional mother/daughter-in-law relationships. She was a fabulous woman that we will always remember meeting and seeing at Gerry’s birthday party and other happy occasions. The two of you were like best friends. Gerry even told us how happy it made him that the two of you were so close and good for each other and how special you were to her. We would be mesmerized at how you would light up when you would tell us of her glamorous stories and the family recipes she shared and about how she would make you feel like “real” family. But what I remember the most, is when I heard her tell you that you were the daughter she never had.
