Monahan, George Michael, 84, of Hallandale Beach, passed away on July 25, 2013. George was a Navy Veteran who later became an Aircraft Mechanic. Preceded in death by his son, Wayne Monahan. He is survived by his loving wife, Bertha Nieves Monahan; sons, George Trudy Monahan, Jr, Tony Laurie Mijares and Mike Aida Mijares; daughters, Lorraine Joe Mijares-Pila and Josie Mijares; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Visitation was held on Monday, July 29, 2013, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. with a Funeral Service at 7:30 p.m. at Boyd-Panciera Hollywood Boulevard Chapel. Urn Committal Service will be held on Friday, August 2, 2013, 1:00 p.m. at South Florida National Cemetery.
