Matthew J Ladolcetta, born August 10, 1924, died September 19, 2013. Matt was the oldest of 5 brothers in an Italian Immigrant family in Brooklyn. He grew up during the Great Depression but did not let poverty defeat him and went on to become Valedictorian in his High School Graduation Class. Like others of this “greatest generation” he answered his nations call and served as an Army Engineer in World War II in the European Theatre and saw action in “The Battle of The Bulge”. After the war he pursued and succeeded in a banking career. He married and is survived by his wife of 62 years and settled in a home on Long Island where he raised and is survived by his 2 married sons Don and Gary Ladolcetta. Matt has been blessed to meet and love 4 grandchildren; Michael, David, Lauren and Frank, as well as one Great Grandchild, Benjamin Ladolcetta.
Matt went on to Community theatre in his retirement and had a thriving retirement life. He was a great family man – Always happy – Never negative. He loved his wife fiercely right to the very end. He will be sorely missed. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 23, from 7-9 p.m. with a Tributes of a Lifetime Service at 8:00 p.m. at Boyd-Panciera Hollywood Boulevard Chapel. Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, September 24, 10:00 a.m. at St. Maurice Catholic Church.

Long after working together, I always thought Matt to be one of the finest people I ever knew. I will never forget his greeting “Hello Governor”, it always made me smile. Goodbye my friend, hope to see you down the road.
