Shields, Doris Hoey, a loving mother and grandmother, of Ft. Lauderdale, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, July 1, 2015, just a few days short of her 88th birthday. Doris was born on July 11, 1927, in Manchester, England, to the late James Hoey and Agnes Holmes. She is survived by her children, John Sujit Shields, Geoff Charmaine Shields, Julie Peter White, Gillian Evans, Chris Tracy Shields; her 11 adored grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, July 2, 2015, 10:00 a.m. St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church. Interment will take place in Manchester, England.
