Chuck,
I remember you helping me with my old Volkswagen at the base auto hobby shop. I’ve put thousands of trouble free miles on the car since that day, and learned a thing or two, thank you. Thanks again to you and your family for your many years of faithful service to our nation.

Dad,
No words can ever describe the sadness and empty feeling I now have in my heart. You were a man like no other. There are so many moments I have to hold on to. My deepest sadness is the fact my boys don’t get to have you as they grow, but I will never let them forget what a special grampy you were. A day will never pass that I won’t think of you. I hope that God has a garage for you to be in charge of. Earth will never be the same and heaven is so much sweeter now that you are in it. I will love and miss you forever. Love your boy forever Valerie

So many memories of Valerie & I being stuck with my 81″ Horizon hoopty & later my 85″ Excel hoopty in the freezing cold jersey shore winter where you came and rescued us!!! I believe you & Barbara insisting on helping me with the Horizon is what allowed a 20 year friendship to bloom. You & Barbara opened your home to me and treated me like your own! I am so grateful to have known you. You assisted in raising an amazing woman and your presence will remain a major part of the upbringing of that woman’s sons that will contribute to the promise of a brighter tomorrow. Thank you Chief!!!!

I am sorry to hear his pasting. It is hard to believe that many of the family form the old farm has pasted away. I hope that he had a good life since leaving the Coast Guard. Sorry that I have not seen him in years since our family moved to North Carolina.

Uncle Chuck was a wonderful man who loved his family and was always showing it in his actions and words. Even miles away, he found a way to bring love and laughter to us. We will miss his calls singing or should I say rapping a “Happy Birthday” duet with Aunty Barbara. Uncle Chuck touched so many lives. He was loved by all that had the pleasure of knowing him. We love you and miss you, Uncle Chuck! ❤

Chuck – In twelve short years, you and Barbara have become like family to us. We cherish the memories and good times we shared, and will keep those memories close. Your humor, your sense of fair play, and your unswerving friendship will stay with us always. You were the first person we called when we needed advice or help, and you were always there, no matter what you were doing. You were a true friend, and the most honorable person we’ve ever known. We will miss you and your never-ending smile. We’ve lost a truly great friend, and are much sadder for it! Barbara – we are so sorry for your loss. Please know that you are in our hearts and thoughts…We are here for you always!

Dear Barbara and extended family,
I felt completely horrible to hear of Chuck’s passing. I believe 59 years is too young to be taken from all of you. It saddens me even more that some of the grandkids will not get to truly know their generous grandfather’s ways and learn from his work ethic, honesty and love. I only had the pleasure of knowing Chuck a few years and he was truly “the salt of the earth” Matthew 5:13.
My heart breaks for Barbara and I know she will always carry Chuck with her wherever she goes. The entire extended family is in my thoughts and prayers and I am sending only positivity your way. Chuck’s sudden passing is representative of the fragility of life. I have paused on many occasions since his untimely passing to reflect and think about Chuck and his family. I believe Chuck to be a very good man and a man that I learned from by simply being in his presence.
God Bless you Chuck and God Bless Barbara and God Bless the entire extended family.

Having known Chuck for many years was a great pleasure. He was always ready to help at any time. I am very sorry for your loss as Chuck loved his country, his family, the USCG and his job. I watched him go down hill as the leadership of the USCG drove him, I believe to an early death. They should be ashamed of themselves, from the top down for what they did to a truly great American. God Bless.

Chuck , you where a true shipmate to everyone and anyone you ever met, you never said a negative thing to anyone or about anyone! You were one of the good guys, that always went out of your way to help people, by working on their vehicles, sometime not even charging for their parts, knowing that shipmate was not able to afford the repairs! You and Barb were the first people to ever watch our kids, so that we could take a short trip together, that you even set up for us! We celebrated holidays, birthdays, etc. you made us laugh and smile! You were our pick me up, tool time man! I had the upmost respect & you had true integrity Chuck, shame on those few who tried to tear you down! You will truly be missed by those who were lucky enough to have called you friend!

Hello My Love,
As you know I have been writing to you for the last seven years and unfortunately the funeral home has a new website and not one of my posts was transferred to the new website. I don’t understand why/how or for what reason everyone else’s posts that had written to you was transferred but not the ones that I posted transferred.
My Love I wish you could see how upsetting this is for me. All those years I wrote to you, gone as though I have/had forgotten about you. I’m hoping you know that I miss you so very much that is one of the reasons I always wrote to you because even after 8 years, I still have a broken heart. I don’t know/think I will ever get over the loss of my sweet, kind, gentle, loving husband. As the years go by I still am not happy any longer since you went to heaven and took a piece of my heart and soul with you. Even after all these years, I can’t explain the ache in my heart. I talk to you every night even though you are not physically here with me, you are always on my mind and in my heart, every day. Some days I just feel like giving up since you went away. It’s so hard to explain when you lose your soul mate, best friend and the love of your life. Our daughters and grandchildren are what keeps me going and writing to you every year.
I know that we will be together again, but until that day, I will continue to write to you to tell you how much spending our short time together was so amazing. Besides our children and grandchildren, the best years of my life was being your wife. I am/was so blessed to have you as my husband for those forty years we spent together. I loved you then and I still love you to this day. You will always be my husband in my mind, heart and soul. I miss you everyday and still love you everyday and always will.
Your Wife,
Barbara
