February 24, 1938~October 25, 2015

Paul David Doolittle was born on February 24, 1938 to Mr. Paul Anson Doolittle and Mary Margel Ham. He was raised in Louisville, KY and grew to love horses. Paul married the love of his life, Shelby Jean Davis, on December 5, 1954. They followed the racing circuit until they settled down in Florida in 1958. After spending a little time finding the perfect place, they moved to the family home where he resided for 55 years. Together with his wife, they successfully raised 10 children.

As a young man he was introduced to Jehovah’s organization by his paralyzed grandfather. Although not a Witness himself, his grandfather said, “Those people are preaching the truth the way it was supposed to be.” Those words were forever engraved in Paul’s heart and mind. After starting his family and with many repeated return calls by the Witnesses, Jehovah continued to reach out to Paul. In 1975, he was baptized and has remained faithful to Jehovah until his death. He spent his working years as a self-employed contractor but after retiring he began to regular pioneer. He spent nearly 7 years preaching and teaching. This was his passion in life! He has successfully helped many to come to know and love Jehovah God. A few even progressing to dedication and baptism. Paul lived to introduce, inspire, and inculcate the knowledge of Jehovah into as many hearts as he could reach, including his children and grandchildren.

Paul is survived by 10 living children, 42 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 7230 Farragut Street, Hollywood, FL 33024 on Saturday, October 31, 2015, at 1:30pm.

Arrangements entrusted to Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel.
